What is CIA?

Continuous Individual Achievement

Every student at Wendell Middle is assigned a CIA class that meets from 8:30-9:02 each day.  WMS teachers identify students with similar academic and behavioral strengths and weakness, through assessment data.  Teachers make informed decisions on what CIA group meets the needs of their students. These decisions are made with two goals in mind:

We need to meet our students where they are and provide them with the tools and strategies that they are missing.

We also need to recognize students that are successful and provide them with enrichment opportunities.

As teachers look at student data and make adjustments for student success, students will move among the CIA groups on each team.   Ask your student about their CIA group.  If you have any questions, about CIA you are welcome to email our RTI Coach, Tammy Johnson at tjohnson9@wcpss.net.
